Summary

Bottom Line – Very good beers with unique vibes in an artsy district of Dallas. Worth battling for parking for sure.

The Bishop Arts District badly needed a brewery and got a good one in Jaquval. If unfamiliar, the district is just south of the highway a couple miles west of downtown Dallas. Lots of good restaurants and shops. Parking can be a bit challenging, but once you’ve parked, you could be good for the day. The place itself is on the small side, though I dig the ambience with old furniture and funky art. No outside space FYI. The menu was on the small side but they haven’t been very long and had decent style variety. They also have food that I think comes from the kitchen next. Seems like the owner owns both. Sandwiches were decent but a little dry. They looked better than they tasted. I tried six beers, and all of them were at least good. Very consistent quality. Service was excellent as well. Bartender was very nice. I had seen online that they offered a Shandy (which I am a sucker for). They had run out of the soda to make it, so she went next-door and got one out of the fridge. The to go cans were way more expensive than I thought was reasonable, but I think it’s because they haven’t fully set up canning operation yet. Ultimately, I would definitely recommend If you are in the Dallas area and want a change of scenery because the beers are very good and the vibes are unique.
