Cellarest was an interesting experience…in a good way! They thrive doing stuff other people wouldn’t think of. Some of it felt gratuitous to me, but I wasn’t going to yuck someone else’s yum and I had a great time. The menu is sizable but non-traditional so it might not be for everyone. The beers were all very good though. Food truck was just ok. The DJ they had was doing some mix new age with techno stuff. Again, not my thing, but I embraced and enjoyed. The greenery around is really nice. Outdoor patio space is big. Indoor not as much. It’s on the West side of the river and there are some other places in that area. Truth is, Asheville is TINY so it’s not hard to get anywhere. But it’s not right in the heart of all the breweries technically. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves and pricing was all comparable to the other places we went. I will likely go back next time I’m in town.
