Bottom Line – Halloween-y vibes with stout-y stouts and hop- y hops. Cool space downtown with a big menu.

I had extremely high hopes for my visit to Asheville, specifically DSSOLVR. The menu was right up my alley but most of what I had was good not great. Food options were sparse but there used to be some alternatives to beer. One thing I loved was all the pinball! I am a man who loves to play a game while I drink so I thought that was awesome. The motif of spookiness was fun too (see my video below). It’s also right downtown which is great for experiencing the city if you’re traveling for a visit. This makes DSSOLVR pretty unique. Service was fine, no complaints. Price point also seemed in line with the general beer quality and location. So there’s a lot to like but I just didn’t think the beers met the hype. I look forward to coming back and being proven wrong.
