Summary

Bottom Line – They serve just basic styles but do them well and complement the beers with easy-going vibes adjacent to real nature

Zillicoah brewery is in a really unique spot because it is literally right on the river. So, it is a very pretty place to spend a few hours. Especially if the weather is nice. They focus primarily on German styles; just the basics. Don’t expect sours or stouts or hazy IPAs. That being said, what you will get will be good to very good for that style. Because of that, the menu was on the small side. With that said, food was not lacking. They had multiple food trucks on site. One food truck it looks like may have permanent residence there and the food smelled really good. The primary building is pretty big and their outdoor patio is covered and huge, which was great since the weather was nice but it started pouring rain while we were there. I think I captured it in one of my videos. If it’s not raining, you can walk from the covered patio to the actual river and walk right up to it. Lots of big trees. It was really quaint. We had the same server for all of our beers, but they do appear to have multiple bars. I don’t remember his name, but he was very nice and had great hair. I did tell him that he had great hair. It was important that. Lastly, there seemed to be a lot of kids and families there and I’m pretty sure if we lived there, we would visit here frequently. Ultimately, the beers weren’t quite as good as some people online set my expectations, but they were still good and the place was great.
