Summary

Bottom Line – Fun flavors with a good selection of styles in a small, but nice taproom. Doesn’t hurt having a friendly and helpful bartender.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stop at Halo. There’s a cluster of breweries in the “west end” within a couple square miles of each other. Halo was the smallest of the ones I visited, but had the most interesting beers. The menu was big, with a nice variety and interesting flavor profiles. Anything but bland. I tried 6 beers and all of them were at least good, and 1 or 2 I thought were great. My buddy (yes I do have friends and they occasionally join me) had a sandwich and said it was really good. The place is objectively small, but it’s nice and comfortable, with a good little patio. Location was decent too with some other food options a 2 minute walk away. The bartender was for sure the nicest and coolest I had of the 14 breweries I visited, though I admit I got really good service at a lot of them. Great community. Bottom line, the next time I’m in Toronto I will absolutely return to Halo because of the interesting flavors and good selection.
