Bottom Line – A unique concept serving limited (but tasty) styles as part of a well known DFW bar staple. A ton of fun.

Beard Science isn’t like most breweries because it isn’t standalone. Located within the Truckyard in the Colony, it’s kinda like a brewery with an outpost building part of a larger business. Due to that, they get the benefit of being in a pretty good location and having an awesome setting. if you haven’t been to the Truckyard, it’s a really cool, mostly outdoor, atmosphere. Nothing I can say will do it justice, so just look at the pictures. It’s almost like a mini Fair or carnival. Fun side note – they also have a “toilet seat museum”. So again, it’s a fun place to be. The nice thing is, you can get your Beard Science beers and go wherever you want in the Truckyard. They also do flights. The other interesting thing is they only do sours and Belgians (from what I saw). The sours were palatable for me, and I’m weak when it comes to sours. A little tart, a little sour, a little sweet, but mostly refreshing. They were almost like seltzers. I really liked them more than I expected to. Especially the cucumber. Normally such a small menu would earn the lowest “selection” score, but because it’s part of Truckyard, there’s plenty of other alcohol and food available. Service was good and friendly. I got invited to a birthday party. I couldn’t attend but if you’re reading, I hope you had a great one. Ultimately, I recommend going because the setting is really cool and I really liked the seltzer-sour flavors.
