Steam Whistle
Tier 4
Summary
Bottom Line – An iconic brand in an amazing location. The beer is what it is, so come for the trains and enjoy the downtown scenery
Steam Whistle didn’t feel as much like a brewery as it did a park that has a beer. They have a taproom you can just grab and go from and go outside to the Train museum/park. Or you can go to the restaurant, which I can’t speak to. They appear to have just one beer, or maybe two? Everything else available was a different brewery name. The Pilsner was fine. But being downtown in the shadow of the CN tower, and walking outside amongst a bunch of old trains was a neat experience. It’s a touristy area for sure but I’m glad I went, especially since I went from there to a Blue Jays game. Ultimately, I could go back if I’m going to ball game, but probably not.
