Summary

Bottom Line – A small space with limited selection, average quality, and no place to take advantage of the views. Skip the brewery and go to the taproom in Mountain Village.

Telluride brewing has two locations in the area. There is a taproom located in Mountain Village and there is the brewery itself. I have to preface this review stating that I went to the location pinned above, NOT the taproom, so keep that in mind when determining if you’d like to visit. I already have spoken to a Denver friend and said this would be controversial. But here I go.

The selection here was on the small side but did have some variety in styles. I had a flight of 4, and the beers I thought were ok overall, but one I liked more and one liked less. The place is tiny (real estate is at a premium here), but they do have a little outdoor space fenced off across the street. Telluride and the surrounding area is beautiful so it’s hard to say the location was bad, but relative to the other two “breweries” I went to, it was inconvenient and lacked the views I’d like. Service was good and price was better than I expected considering the area. Ultimately, I won’t go back to the brewery. Next time I visit, so I could be convinced to try the taproom. I just think the other places that are breweries are just better.
