Summary

Bottom Line – Decent beers in a pretty good location with great service. Worth a quick stop as an entry point into the East Side.

Eastbound is well situated on the way towards the Eastside breweries from downtown. As I wrote that sentence I realized I understood the name. It’s the little things in life. The place itself is on a fairly busy street with a lot of places within walking distance, or a long walk if you’re willing and able. The taproom was nice, and a good size with a big bar and some patio tables out front. Selection was a little on small side and was lacking a little variance with styles, but they did have food. I tried 4 beers (flight) and I’d say they were solid, if unremarkable. Though I did really like the Irish Red Ale. I’d have brought some home if I had been heading there. I think I interacted with 4 staff/bartenders at various points and they were all really nice. Again, Toronto breweries nailing service. Ultimately, I could go back for the Irish Red if I was doing a good long walk to the East Side.
